It seems the weather is as unpredictable as our tiny people’s moods at the minute and it can leave you wondering what to dress baby in, (and yourself!)
One minute your panicking because you haven’t put sun cream on for at least 30 minutes and are wrestling a sun hat on them.
Next, it’s grey, raining like something out of an end of world film and you realise you haven’t seen their coat in weeks and your rummaging to dig out the winter woollies.
Winter is coming
We’ve all seen the sales and the winter coats creeping into shops and it means that it is probably about time to start thinking about what to dress the kids in as the days and evenings grow chillier.
Here at Rhubarb and Bird we have done all the hard work for you and with Autumn just around the corner we have put together some ideas for dressing baby and toddler practically and stylishly for chillier days.
All you have to do is work out whether you should buy all of it or not! (Of course you should!)
Dressing the baby has always been a bit of a conundrum, making sure they are not too hot, not too cold, look Instagram ready and are of course comfortable for the days wiggling, crawling and rolling about!
But, as it get’s chillier what should we be reaching for? Too many layers they could get hot in the pram/ car seat, so keep it simple with a River Frog Baby Grow Little Green Radicals when the temperatures start dipping, perfect with a vest underneath and can go under a jacket as well.
Who doesn’t love a baby in an all in one, especially one like the stylish Rainbow Chevron Sleepsuit LIL’ CUBS which will brighten up any cloudy day.
Ahh, the daily battle of dressing a toddler who wants to wear a Christmas jumper in July, wellies in a heatwave and shorts in the height of winter. But they will be more than willing to wear the amazing Stegosaurus leggings Blade and Rose with matching top available and for your little flowers the Flower Face leggings and top Blade and Rose will soon be a firm favourite amongst your little fashionistas, all leggings are Oeko-Tex® certified.
All clothes are organic, cotton which means they are kind to skin as your toddler runs around, as well as being brightly coloured which means kids and parents alike will be asking you; ‘Where did you get that from?’
One thing that will be used again and again as the weather grows cooler, especially on days out in the pram or car seat is a nice blanket to snuggle under whilst they hopefully nap (while you grab a coffee! Well that’s the dream!) The Tiger Blanket from COQ EN PATE does just that, and for the slightly warmer evenings don’t forget your Grey Penguin Swaddle Muslin LIL’ CUBS.
Why not buy a couple and keep some in the car so they are always handy when you begin to feel a slight chill in the air.
With your little ones now all set for when the season change now you can focus on the other important things, like drinking your coffee whilst it’s hot and wondering if you can sneak a nap in with the baby this afternoon!
