A family run business created in early 2018 with the aim of providing beautiful handmade accessories for Mummy, Baby and Siblings. Styling the ladies in your life with minimal effort.
I have always had a vision of owning my own business. While on maternity leave I thought there was no better time to make that step I had always dreamed of.
Being a mum to three beautiful girls they are my inspiration, models and testers for all my beautiful products. Our products are made using organic fabric. (Our clips/Nylon headbands/Elastic headbands are non - organic)
You will see lots more from Rhubarb as the year progresses, watch out for new products as we expand our range.... there won't just be hair accessories!
All my products are made with love from my home in the Norfolk countryside.
My inspiration, Mia, Erin and Nala
Parents choose organic fabric to limit their little one’s exposure to the harmful chemicals often found in non-organic fabric. Synthetic fibers or non-organic cotton often contains petrochemicals, acrylic, PVC and esters that have been linked to a variety of health problems. The choice of organic fabric is also part of a larger trend towards sustainability—nearly 20% of all water pollution occurs through the making of non-organic fabric.
WHAT DOES G.O.T.S. CERTIFICATION MEAN?
To be G.O.T.S. certified, textile products must contain a minimum of 95% organic fibers. All inks, dyes and process chemicals used in manufacture must meet basic toxicity and biodegradability requirements. Heavy metals, formaldehyde, nickel, and PVC are prohibited from the manufacture process.
WHAT IS FAIR TRADE?
Fair trade is an alternative to conventional trade based on partnership between producers and consumers. At every step of the supply chain, producers are paid a living wage and work in safe, humane conditions. Buying fair trade is a powerful way for consumers to reduce poverty through everyday shopping.
